My primary studio, the “Cave”, is a large voluminous space in Belmont, Western Australia, situated half way between Perth and that remote city’s international airport. The Cave’s walls are tilt up concrete, with generous natural light and a roller door. There are designated areas for small fabrications for a range of sculptural processes such as metal timber or mould fabrications.
Generally though, the “Cave” is an adaptive space where I can change things around depending on what project I’m working on, whether it be a painting, collage, fleshing out ideas, editing films, sketching out a drawing, or exploring a new sound. I currently have a second studio at Venn Studios in the central CBD of Perth, this is a city platform, an experimental space, and in a way this web project is an experimental studio space, as well.
