Live, creative exchange between Associate Professor Jon Tarry, Faculty of Architecture and Visual Arts, UWA and Musicians Jon Stockman and Joel Quartermain
Thursday 7 June, 5.30 pm, Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery
In a unique, three-way, creative collaboration between visual artist and musician, this event will explore two different approaches to creating contemporary portraiture that go
beyond likeness. Artist Jon Tarry will create portraits of Joel Quartermain from Eskimo Joe and Jon Stockman from Karnivool, while Quartermain and Stockman create musical
responses to Tarry’s work in a continuous portrait loop.
Together these three artists will engage the audience in a performance that expands the parameters of portraiture beyond the senses.
Bookings essential on 08 6488 3707 or lwag@uwa.edu.au
